History Walk – Eastern Zig Zag Railway 10 May 2025

Join Glenbrook & District Historical Society for this walk to the 1867 Zig Zag Railway and Knapsack Viaduct which extends to the first improvement, the Lapstone Tunnel (1892). East Portal only and the ‘wash away’ section  (1906). This is a 2-1/2 hour walk and is classified MEDIUM, i.e. short steep sections and some rough sections.

 

Book early: Limited numbers. Good walking shoes are essential. Please bring a hat and drinking water (No dogs please).

BAD WEATHER ON THE DAY: Excessive wind or rain could cause cancellation due to hazardous conditions.
