Caring for our heritage starts here – Apply for 2025-27 NSW Heritage Grants

The NSW Government is excited to announce the launch of the 2025–27 NSW Heritage Grants Program, with $8.5 million available to help preserve and bring to life the rich heritage of our state.
This is your chance to support the conservation and activation of significant heritage sites. The program offers funding for local councils, owners, and managers of declared Aboriginal Places and items listed on the NSW State Heritage Register.
Funding is available across four key categories:
• Activating State Heritage Grant: $1 million for a single standout project that enhances public engagement.
• Caring for State Heritage Grants: Up to $300,000 to support good management, maintenance, conservation, and activation, with $4.5 million available.
• Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Grants: Up to $80,000 for works or $30,000 for management documents on declared Aboriginal Places, with a total of $500,000 available.
• Local Government Heritage Grants: $2.5 million available for local councils to apply for $25,000 to identify, conserve and promote heritage.
