BMACHO is proud to collaborate with a wide range of local historical, cultural, and educational organisations. Each of our organisational members contributes significantly to preserving and promoting heritage in the Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Hawkesbury, and surrounding regions.

Blue Mountain Education and Research Trust

Description: Legally established in May 2008, BMERT is dedicated to furthering the aims of the Blue Mountain Centre for Religious Enquiry (BMCRE), promoting local research in religious and Aboriginal studies, and disseminating knowledge via publications and lectures.

Description: Offers meetings, talks, field activities, excursions, and more. Key locations include Everglades Historic House and Garden, Norman Lindsay Gallery, and Woodford Academy.

Blue Mountains City Libraries Local Studies

Description: Hosts the Blue Mountains Local Studies collection and Springwood Historical Society archives, accessible via Springwood Library.

Blue Mountains Family History Society Inc

Description: Based in Springwood Library, this group provides resources and guidance for genealogical research. Activities include meetings, workshops, and seminars.

Blue Mountains Historical Society Inc

Description: Located at Hobby’s Reach, Wentworth Falls. Features extensive local history archives and the Tarella Cottage Museum, open monthly.

Bygone Beautys Treasured Teapot Museum and Tearooms

Description: Located in Leura, home to the world’s largest private teapot collection. Includes a museum, showroom, and tearoom.

Colo Shire Family History Group Inc

Description: Focuses on preserving family histories from the old Colo Shire and Hawkesbury area.

Eskbank House & Museum

Description: Built in 1842, one of the oldest residences in Lithgow. Now a historic home and museum.

Description: Thirteen acres of gardens and bushland with Art Deco house museum. Hosts art exhibitions and tearooms.

Description: Advocates for the preservation of The Paragon’s architectural and cultural legacy.

Glenbrook & District Historical Society Inc.

Description: Local museum open 1st & 3rd Saturdays. History walks and archival resources available.

Description: Operates the Hawkesbury Regional Museum, preserving the area’s rich history.

Description: Located on the site of the former State Coal Mine. Showcases regional industrial history.

Description: Railway museum with working steam/diesel rides, model rooms, and historic displays.

Description: Blue Mountains’ oldest public building, originally an inn, later a school. Now a National Trust site.
