The fun returns with the Blue Mountains Steam FunFest at the historic Blue Mountains locomotive depot at Valley Heights this coming weekend.
From Friday 10 July to Sunday 12 July, steam trains, a steam tram and steam machines together combine to build your excitement these school holidays.
For the first time, Transport Heritage NSW will bring steam locomotive 3265 to FunFest. 3265 is regularly seen hauling tourist trains on the mainline and the Thirlmere Heritage Railway. Fresh from a major overhaul, visitors to FunFest will be able to get up close and personal in the cab of 3265 while in steam and learn how the locomotive works by talking to the crew
As with previous FunFest events, Campbelltown Steam & Machinery Museum will display historic steam and other machinery and the Steam Tram and Railway Preservation Society will provide 2 rides for visitors.
Onsite parking is limited. On the Saturday and Sunday, we recommend instead that you park at Valley Heights or Springwood station car park and catch the FREE shuttle bus provided by Near or Far Bus and Coach to access the museum.
