BLUE MOUNTAINS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Monthly Meeting and Public Talk Saturday 2 May 2026
Blue Mountains Historical Society (BMHS) will hold its May monthly meeting in its rooms at 99 Blaxland Road, Wentworth Falls NSW commencing at 10.30am on Saturday 2 May 2026.
BMHS members and non members are all invited to the talk which will be given by Keith Maxwell, who will be speaking to his and Michael Keats book “Splendour Rock”, which delves into the history of bush walking and the bush walkers who served during WW2. Splendour Rock is the memorial to these servicemen located in the Wild Dog Mountains. The memorial site was chosen because the eyes here are drawn to the glory of Kanangra Walls.
This should be a don’t miss talk. It is free to members and $5 to non members. Morning tea is available from 10am for a small additional cost.
